Russia Reports Capture of Another Village in Eastern Ukraine
In a statement, the Russian Defense Ministry said its troops had taken control of the village of Molocharka, situated roughly 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) north of the front-line city of Kostiantynivka. The ministry referred to the settlement by the name Khimik.
Ukraine’s General Staff reported that Russian forces carried out 17 attacks near six settlements in the Kostiantynivka sector but did not mention Molocharka in its update.
Ukrainian authorities had not immediately responded to the Russian claim. Independent verification of battlefield developments remains difficult because of the ongoing conflict.
