Russia Reports Capture of Settlement in Zaporizhzhia
According to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry, its troops took over the village of Huliaipilske, located roughly 16 kilometers (10 miles) west of the town of Huliaipole. Moscow previously asserted that it had captured Huliaipole in December.
In the official declaration, Huliaipilske is identified as "Komsomolske."
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s General Staff stated earlier that Russian forces had launched 37 attacks near 12 settlements along the Huliaipole front, including Huliaipilske.
At this stage, Ukrainian officials have not issued remarks regarding Russia’s latest assertion, and independent confirmation remains challenging due to the continuing conflict.
