Russia Pauses Gasoline Exports
"The decision was made to maintain a stable situation on the domestic fuel market during the period of high seasonal demand and agricultural field work," stated the government in an official announcement.
Earlier this July, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak conducted a session with fuel industry stakeholders to discuss the ongoing surge in fuel prices.
Following this discussion, Novak instructed them to implement appropriate strategies to control the price escalation.
Russia frequently faces periodic surges in gasoline costs, a trend often driven by drone strikes targeting oil refining facilities and increased consumption, especially from the farming sector during peak seasons.
As one of the globe’s leading energy suppliers, Russia annually generates over 40 million tons of gasoline.
